Beijing Jiaotong Vocational Technical College, located in Changping Town, Changping District, Beijing, is a full-time general higher vocational school organized by the Changping District People's Government, supervised by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and registered by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.
In —, the Changping Branch of Northern Jiaotong University was established. In —, it was renamed Higher Vocational and Technical College of Northern Jiaotong University. In March —, with the approval of the Beijing Municipal People's Government, it was independently established as Beijing Jiaotong Vocational and Technical College. In —, the school became the first batch of pilot colleges for the "1 X" certificate project of the Ministry of Education. In —, it was awarded the "Advanced Unit for Conscription Work" in Changping District. In —, it was awarded the Outstanding Organization Award of the — Beijing Vocational College Skills Competition.
As of —, the school covers an area of 280 acres, with a construction area of more than — square meters, five teaching departments, and 24 general higher vocational majors; There are 12 professional group internship training centers and 50 training rooms; It has 2 high-level training bases with Beijing characteristics, 1 Beijing vocational education demonstration virtual simulation training base, and has been selected as a typical case project of the Ministry of Education's — vocational education demonstration virtual simulation training base (one of the only two colleges and universities in Beijing), more than 50 off-campus industry-university cooperative enterprise practice bases, and 1 high-level professional group with Beijing characteristics.
