An account is free and unlocks the catalogue, the costs, and the applications. Membership adds the written study guide that walks you through the whole process.

Nothing, while you are looking
Browsing programs, comparing costs, and asking us questions are free. No payment is asked for until you have chosen where you want to apply and we have agreed the amount with you.

File processing fee — 2,500 ¥, and it starts the work
Your file is not prepared and nothing is sent to a university until it is paid. You can start it yourself from your application the moment you are ready.

Seat deposit — 650 ¥, only if you need one
Paid to hold your place on an intake that has already closed, so that you are first in the queue when it reopens. Most students never pay it: if the programme you want is still open, you apply and skip this entirely. 500 ¥ of it comes off your service fee when you pay it.

University fees — paid to the university
Tuition and accommodation are paid to the university itself, not to us, on the schedule in your admission letter.
Online payment is not connected yet, so membership is granted by the team rather than bought here. Nothing on this page charges you.
