DeHong Vocational College is a comprehensive full-time public higher vocational college rooted in the border area, mainly focusing on medical and engineering professional education. There are six state-controlled majors, including clinical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, stomatology, preschool education, acupuncture and massage, and Dai medicine. Nursing is the "A-level five-star major" in Yunnan Province. Clinical medicine, medical imaging technology, and nursing are the "backbone majors" identified in the action plan for innovation and development of higher vocational education. The professional group of traditional Chinese medicine has entered the high-level professional group construction plan of Yunnan Province.
