I. School profile
Sichuan Vocational College of Cultural Industries is a full-time public college of general higher education registered by the Ministry of Education, approved by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government and supervised by the Publicity Department of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. It is the first cultural industry college in China that is independently set up to cultivate high-end technical talents. It is a provincial model higher vocational college in Sichuan Province, a high quality college training institution in Sichuan Province, an excellent unit of Education informatization pilot in Sichuan Province, a university in Sichuan Province's Excellent News and Communication Talent Education Training Plan, and a civilized campus in Sichuan Province. The university adopts the organization and management mode of "two houses and one center", which is operated by Sichuan Provincial Correspondence School for Cadres, Sichuan Vocational College of Cultural Industries and Sichuan Provincial Propaganda and Cultural Cadre Training Center.
The main campus of the university is located in the core area of Tianfu New District, the main urban area of Chengdu. It is directly reached by Metro Line 5. The campus covers an area of more than 520 mu and has more than — full-time students. The university has a team of teachers with good political quality, excellent professional skills and strong practical ability, which meet the needs of higher vocational education. There are more than 500 staff and staff, including 74 teachers with associate senior titles or above. At the same time, a number of external experts, professors and creative design masters are hired as visiting professors.
II.Teaching Units
The university has 11 teaching units, including the School of Financial Media, the School of Culture and Tourism, the School of Culture and Commerce, the School of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Bashu Culture, the School of Digital Arts, the School of Big Data and Internet, the School of Culture and Museology, the School of Performing Arts, the School of Environmental Art, the Department of Ideological and Political Affairs, and the Department of General Education. The university has 9 practice teaching centers on campus, 161 practice bases off campus and 5 master studios and study halls.
