Chengdu Jincheng College was founded in —, originally known as Sichuan University Jincheng College. In May —, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Sichuan University Jincheng College was transformed into an independently established ordinary higher education institution and was renamed Chengdu Jincheng College.
Approved by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education and filed with the Ministry of Education, Chengdu Jincheng College is clearly defined as a "non-profit" institution. The college upholds the comprehensive leadership of the Communist Party of China, fully implements the Party's educational policies, adheres to the socialist direction of education, maintains the public welfare nature of education, strives for high-quality development, and takes great responsibility for its teachers, students, staff, and society.
