YiLi Normal University is located in the "South of the Yangtze River beyond the Great Wall" - Ili. It is a university jointly built by the Ministry of Education, Jiangsu Province and the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. For a long time, the school has fully implemented the Party's education policy, adhered to the principle of "educating people with the spirit of Populus euphratica and serving the border area", rooted in the border area for more than 70 years and trained and transported more than — various talents for the society. History: The predecessor of the school is Ili College in Xinjiang Province, which was established in —. In —, except for normal education, all other majors of the school were merged into Xinjiang University (the predecessor of Xinjiang University). In —, the school was renamed Ili Normal School. In —, it was upgraded to a general undergraduate college approved by the State Council and named Ili Normal College. In December —, it was renamed as Ili Normal University with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
