In response to the requirements of the digital economy and the intelligent era, the school focuses on information and commerce, and develops modern information-related and industrial intelligent-related majors. The number of its engineering majors accounts for nearly 50% of the total number of majors and the number of engineering students accounts for nearly 50% of the total number of students. There are 9 secondary colleges, including the Artificial Intelligence College, the Modern Information Technology College, the Modern Industrial Technology College, the Modern Business Technology College, the Modern Management Technology College, the Modern Art and Education College, the Medical Care and Health College, the Marxist College (General Education College), and the Continuing Education College (International College). 50 majors have been reported for admission, including 1 national key major, 2 provincial key majors, 1 provincial brand major, 2 provincial characteristic majors, and 1 provincial high-level construction major group. It has joined nearly 20 related industry associations and has reached school-enterprise cooperation agreements with 260+ renowned enterprises such as Zhiyuan Robotics, Xiaomi Smart Appliances, NIO Automobiles, Mianjiang (Wuhan) Robotics, Huawei, JD, Kingsoft Group, Huaxing Optoelectronics, Gree Electric Appliances, Wuhan Enxi Medical Beauty Hospital, Wuhan Hetian Hotel, and Shenxifu Technology Company, establishing 13 industrial colleges.
