Liaoning Technical University is a key national university with more than 65 years of history. In —, LNTU was acknowledged as one of the 88 key universities by the State Council and was granted the authority of accepting international students (one of 200 national universities) and conferring Master and Doctor Degrees in — and — respectively. In —, LNTU set up post-doctoral working station, and get the authority of conferring Engineering Master Degrees. LNTU’s primary focus is on innovative methods in scientific research, practical-based learning, and active participation in social service. The university boasts 29 schools, we have a large body of around — students, among which covers doctoral, postgraduate, undergraduate, vocational and overseas students.
The LNTU campuses are perfect for teaching, research and studying. Quiet surroundings and beautiful environment, blended by rows of teaching buildings of foreign architectural taste give LNTU the prestige it deserves. The university spreads across an area of — acres, We are blessed by convenient transportation and 3 campuses, two are located in Fuxin City and one is in Huludao City.
Now LNTU has 4 post-doctoral stations (Coal Mine Engineering, Mechanics, Surveying Science & Technology and Safety Science & Engineering), Totally We offer 25 PH.D programs, 58 Master programs and 75 Bachelor programs. We also have 1 national model teaching center, 1 national safety technology research center, 11 key provincial key laboratories. Over the years, the system of educational subjects offered at LNTU was changed in order to meet the economic demands at the nation. At present we have — full-time teachers, more than — professors and associate professors, 4 part-time Academicians.
The university fosters international exchange and development. We have established academic exchange and cooperation with about 100 universities and scientific research institutions from Germany, Australia, South Africa, the United States, Japan, Russian Federation, Poland, Vietnam and others. The university has sent experts and scholars to initiate scientific research and academic exchange and cooperation. Quantities of famous experts are employed as our honor professor. We have a large board of foreign experts and overseas students, and undertake more than 10 research subjects with foreign institutions. There is also a “2+2”joint cultivation program of two bachelor degrees for undergraduates with University of Swinburne University of Technology (Australia), and “3+2”joint cultivation program for undergraduates to get master’s degree with Lawrence Technological University (the United States) .Our school encourage graduates abroad to further their study, and we actively recommend outstanding graduates to apply for the Sino-Russian Government Scholarship and Government founded overseas study program.
