Yantai Nanshan University is a full-time undergraduate university invested and established by national large private joint-stock enterprise group Nanshan Holdings and approved by the Ministry of Education, located in Longkou City, Yantai, Shandong Province. The university is a high-level application-oriented undergraduate university with engineering as its main focus and coordinated development of six disciplines including art, management, literature, medicine and economics. Founded in —, the university was upgraded in —, and was authorized to grant bachelor's degree in —. In —, the university passed the Qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education. In —, shandong Provincial People's Government identified as a master's degree awarding project cultivation and construction unit. The school has two campuses, Donghai and Nanshan. Consists of institute of technology, business school, humanities college, school of chemical engineering and technology, college of materials science and engineering, textile science and engineering institute, college of health, music institute, institute of aviation, marxism institute, institute of applied technology, college of international exchange and cooperation etc. 12 secondary school, contains 28 (department, center), with 49 undergraduate programs, 40 specialties.
