Tianjin Sino-German University of Applied Technology is the first university of applied technology in China approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor Tianjin Sino-German Vocational and Technical College was founded in — by combining Tianjin Sino-German Modern Industrial Technology Training Center and Tianjin Enterprise Management Training Center. It is the largest cooperation project in the field of vocational education and training between China and the governments of Germany, Japan and Spain. The university is located in Tianjin Haihe Education Park on the shore of the Bohai Sea and is affiliated to the Tianjin Municipal Government.
