About the university

College is a full-time public general college of higher learning approved by Guangdong Provincial People's Government in — and filed by the Ministry of Education. At the beginning of its establishment, the college was named Guangdong Science and Technology Cadre Continuing Education College, which was mainly responsible for the continuing education and training of Guangdong science and technology management cadres, and was praised as "a pearl of local continuing education" by the Ministry of Science and Technology. In —, it was renamed Guangdong Science and Technology Cadre College, and in —, it became one of the first colleges to hold general higher vocational education in Guangdong Province.
