Hubei is the hometown of famous medical scientist Li Shizhen. Founded in —, Hubei University Of Chinese Medicine is the only higher undergraduate college of Chinese medicine in Hubei Province. Its predecessor was the Hubei Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Training School established in —.
