About the university
National Public Institutions: Jiangsu College of Safety Technology is a provincial public full-time ordinary university approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government. The college is located in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, a national historical and cultural city known as the "thoroughfare of the five provinces", and is an ideal place for students to study and live. The college was founded in — and currently has two campuses, Jiawang and Yunlong, covering an area of 538 acres. There are five secondary colleges with over — full-time students on campus.
Strong faculty: The college currently has 535 faculty members, including 107 with senior professional titles and 278 with doctoral or master's degrees or above. Three national technical experts, six provincial technical experts, 11 outstanding young backbone teachers of the "Blue Project" in provincial universities, and two individuals were selected for the "333" high-level talent training project in Jiangsu Province. Hire 119 part-time teachers from industries and enterprises, including 6 industry professors and 6 "Jiangsu Craftsmen".
Professional integration with the market: The college is the only vocational and technical college in East China that features safety majors and focuses on technical majors. The college attaches great importance to professional construction, guided by social development and market demand, and has established a "five major and one special" professional group: electrical, mechanical, automotive, information, commercial, and safety. There are a total of 26 training bases, 149 training rooms, — internship workstations, and a total value of 94.23 million yuan in teaching and research equipment (as of —). There are over 500 off campus internship and employment bases.The college has 27 pilot programs for the "1+X" certificate system, a safety training base supported by the central government, a national CNC technology skill shortage talent training base, 7 provincial-level high skilled talent training bases, a "National Vocational Skill Appraisal Station", and a "Special Job Vocational Skill Appraisal Station"; Multiple majors have been rated as provincial and municipal level brands and characteristic majors.

Since —, our faculty and students have won a total of 394 gold, 376 silver, and 251 copper medals in the skills competition of vocational schools in Xuzhou City, 73 gold, 167 silver, and 245 copper medals in the skills competition of vocational schools in Jiangsu Province, and 19 gold, 19 silver, and 7 copper medals in the national skills competition of vocational schools. For six consecutive years, we have ranked first in the city and ranked third in the province for two consecutive years.
