Liuzhou Railway Vocational Technical College was founded in —, upgraded to Liuzhou Railway College from — to —, and held undergraduate education. In —, it held higher vocational education. In —, it was awarded the title of "Excellent" school by the Ministry of Education in the assessment of talent cultivation in higher vocational colleges. In —, it was awarded the title of Guangxi Model Higher Vocational College. In —, it was awarded the title of Guangxi Characteristic University.
