About the university
Liaoning Finance and Trade College (LFTC), located in Xingcheng City, Huludao, Liaoning Province, is a privately-run regular undergraduate institution independently established under the supervision of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education and approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It has been recognized as a "Pilot Unit for Digital Campus Construction" and a "Demonstration School for Smart Education," and is the only private university in Northeast China to host a National Innovation and Development Center for University Ideological and Political Work.
In —, Bohai College of Shenyang Normal University was established. In —, the College was recognized by the Ministry of Education as an independent college. In September —, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was restructured and renamed Liaoning Finance and Trade College. In —, the College was selected as a cultivation and construction unit for the Innovation and Development Center for University Ideological and Political Work, and the Ministry of Education officially established the Center at Liaoning Finance and Trade College.

The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 141 million yuan. The library holds — printed books and — electronic journals. The College has 9 teaching and research units and offers 41 undergraduate programs. It enrolls — students and employs 766 full-time and part-time teachers. As of June —, the College has developed a smart campus integrating the Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence technologies, and has established 46 fully simulated professional training platforms, including the National Laboratory for Big Data Application Technology and a 5G Smart Laboratory, as well as 5 proprietary professional simulation training platforms with independently developed intellectual property.
